Activities

Reference (February 2013)

A simple twin-bay single-storey building with central door and chimneys and crow-stepped gables in yellow sandstone with slated roof. A five-sided bay window in the north-east gable with awkward five-pitch roof is an odd embellishment to an elegant small building. The south elevation shows evidence of a former porch. The cottage is oddly located near the Stables on the curve of South Drive as it approaches the house, and so is seen in the principal view of the house from the drive.

Built in the latter half of the 19th century as it doesn't appear on the 1854 OS map but is shown on the 1894 map.
