The site of this chapel has been lately discovered on the north side of South Street, Mr Todd, Ink Manufacturer when removing an old house found wells of uncommon thickness, and a style of building resembling those of a church, underneath which were vaulted chambers with foundations of great depth, within which were found immense quantities of human bones which he sold at 6d. a cartload for use as manure. This place is marked on two old plans of Perth as the Site of Loretto Chapel.
