The site of the ice-house that is depicted on the 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch map (Perthshire, sheet xcvi, 1901) is marked by a circular depression measuring 6.5m in diameter and 2m in depth; there is no indication of an entrance. It has been set into the E bank of an unnamed burn directly opposite the former gasworks NN92SW 25.18.
