This extensive reservoir forms part of the Tummel Hydro-Electricity Scheme. It is situated above Trinafour, and falls across the boundary between the parishes of Blair Atholl (to the NE) and Fortingall (to the SW). It has been formed by damming the Errochty Water; the Allt Sleibh and the Allt Ruighe nan Saorach enter from the WNW and WSW respectively.
The location assigned to this record indicates the centre of the water area.
