"According to tradition, a battle was fought in Bunrannoch betwixt King Robert and Edward's adherents. The place where the latter came down to the country is called Glen Sassan, (Glen Sassunn - NN 6553) "The Englishman's Glen"; the ground where they first fought is called Innerchadden (Inverhadden - NN 675 576), "the point where the battle began"; the spot where Robert got the victory is called Dailchosnie, "the field of victory." (Dalchosnie - NN 678 577).
