"....the site of a chapel and burial ground. No traces of the chapel are now discernible, and the only portion of the burial ground remaining is shown by a gentle slope on the south and east sides. When the present public road passing close to it was in course of construction a few years ago, the workmen engaged dug up a quantity of sepulchral remains; two or three flag stones are still to be seen in the south side of the mound".

By the side of the road from Oban to Dunollie, at the side of a little burn, is a mound 'that has much the appearance of an ancient burying place. There was a stone coffin turned up in the course of some field work, and there is a round mound in the north-west corner of the field, supposed to be a tumulus. It is different from the little 'eskars' that are so common in this part of the country, and on the crown of it there is one erect stone, and others lying near'.

Burial Ground: Someone dug there last year (1932), but could not find any interments.

The site of this alleged 'burial ground' is now occupied by an ornamental garden & houses; and no trace of the stones and mounds exist. It is doubtful if this was a chambered cairn.
