NMRS Manuscript contains detailed information about J & G Forbes & Co Boatbuilders, Sandhaven, and have recorded 36 features on the site. The yard's boat register shows it was situated at this site and building boats by 1902. The yard closed in 1991, but was complete when surveyed (RCAHMS, Nov 1990).
