Nine boundary markers, of which seven are still in position, formerly marked the southern edge of the now decommissioned barracks of the Gordon Highlanders and are depicted on the OS 1:2500 map (1962). Each of the surviving markers is a flat-topped concrete block, measuring 0.31m square and about 0.7m in height; the initials of the War Department adjacent to an upward facing arrow are impressed in one side. Those markers which are still in position are situated at NJ 9471 0977, NJ 9476 0983, NJ 9480 0978, NJ 9479 0977, 9483 0975, 9484 0976, and 9484 0975. The markers at NJ 9464 0977 and NJ 9482 0975 were not located on the date of visit.
