This disused and largely infilled quarry is situated within a small plantation immediately E of a minor public road about 270m NW of Pitmedden House (NJ82NE 33.00). The quarry is shown flooded on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Aberdeenshire 1870, sheet xlvi).
