A type 27 pillbox has been identified from RAF wartime vertical air photographs (NLA 10, 632-3, flown 9 March 1941) at the N end of Dyce Airfield. The pillbox was situated at the NW corner of what was the bomb store enclosure.

Field Visit (10 September 2002)

Nothing is now visible of this pillbox and its site falls on a wide grass verge at the NW corner of Aberdeen Airport.
