Nothing is now visible of this ice-house, which was set into a grass-grown sandy knoll about 650m ENE of Fetternear House (NJ71NW 7.00). The ice-house is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Aberdeenshire 1869, sheet liv), but it is not shown on the 2nd edition of the map (1901, sheet liv.SW). There is a small sand-pit on the SE side of the knoll.
