Ark Stone [NAT]

A squarish boulder 4ft (1.22m) by 4ft (1.22m) by 1ft 9ins (0.53m) to 3ft (0.91m) high, built into a plantation boundary dyke. Known locally as the 'Ark Stone', it has the appearance of being the recumbent stone removed from the stone circle NJ71NW 4.

Visited by OS 24 July 1973 and 19 August 1976.

The Ark Stone appears to be a large natural granite boulder, which has been incorporated in the junction of two field dykes.
