Archaeology Notes

NJ70NE 178 centred 7683 0842

This triangular area of rig-and-furrow lies in woodland about 100m N of Knockquharn Lodge (NJ70NE 15.22). Although the rigs, which are aligned NNE and SSW, are visible on RAF vertical aerial photographs (58/RAF/1296, prints 0007-09) taken in 1953, they were not visited during the Strath Don survey.

Information from RCAHMS (JRS), 12 May 2003.
