This township, which is depicted on an estate map of 1758 held by the National Archives of Scotland, comprised twenty buildings and ten yards disposed on either side of the road to Huntly, and included a mill with a lade. The township had been cleared by the time of the estate map of 1797 held by the National Trust for Scotland at Leithhall (NJ52NW 4.00) and most of its site was incorporated into the policies of Leith Hall.
