Archaeology Notes

NJ51NE 143 5627 1870

Two earthfast stones (about 1m high) stand in the farmyard at Scotsmill (NJ51NE 92) and may have formed part of a stone circle set in an unusual situation. A third stone which formerly stood between them was removed by the farmer.

Information from Mrs M Greig, Aberdeenshire Archaeological Service (visited 9 May 1997).

NMRS, MS/712/33.
