The plan of the modern farm of Mytice is substantially as it is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Aberdeenshire, 1874, sheet xxxiii), although the cottages immediately to the NE have been constructed more recently. A late 18th-century estate plan (SRO: RHP 2260) depicts Over Mytts at this location, a farmstead comprising six buildings and three enclosures.
