Archaeology Notes

NJ41SW 38.02 4154 1477

This stone-built rectilinear structure is 8m long and 4m wide. It survives to a height of 0.2m with walls 0.5m wide, and is divided into two roughly equal rooms. The N wall forms part of the revetment or field bank NJ41SW 38.04.

A second building lies 11m to the NE of (1) and measures at least 14.6m from NNW to SSE by 4m transversely over low stony banks; it contains at least two compartments and has been broken through by a modern track.
