Air photography (AAS/88/12/S23/3-9) has recorded the turf-covered footings of a depopulated settlement (comprising longhouses and enclosures) in an area of rough grazing on a SE-facing slope on the W side of Glen Tullich at an altitude of about 442m OD.

A farmstead comprising two unroofed buildings, one of which is a long building of two compartments, two roofed buildings and one enclosure is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Aberdeenshire 1869, sheet lxxx). One unroofed, one roofed building and one enclosure are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1971).
