A pillbox has been identified from wartime RAF aerial vertical photographs (NLA 57, 5052-53, flown 21 February 1943) about 150m SW of Kinneddar farmsteading (NJ26NW 66.00), protecting the E end of the main runway of Lossiemouth Airfield. The pillbox is not depicted on the OS 1:10560 scale map (1970).
