A gate-lodge, built in 1864, is located about 600m from Ballindalloch Castle, at a point where the drive diverges.
The lodge is a single-storeyed structure, built on a cruciform plan, and harled with a slated roof. Decorative features include a monogrammed panel above the south window and crow-stepped gables.
The lodge is now known as the Gardener's Cottage.
