Cromarty, 30th Nov. The JOHN, of Tain, Rider, was wrecked off Port Mahomack [Portmahomack] 26th Nov.

The location assigned to this record is essentially tentative. The vessel presumably stranded within the shallow waters of Portmahomack Bay.

The loss of this vessel is not cited by I G Whittaker (1998).
