Watching Brief (5 February 2018 - 4 April 2018)

NH 79710 29977 to NH 73621 34721 A watching brief was carried out, 5 February – 4 April 2018, during Stage 3 of ground investigation work between Tomatin and Moy. The excavation of 108 trial pits was supervised, but no finds or features of archaeological significance were recorded.

Photographic Survey (23 February 2022 - 4 March 2022)

A programme of photographic landscape survey and historic land use assessment covering the full proposed route of the dualling programme from Tomatin to Moy was undertaken (NH 72206 36110 to NH 80988 27955).

The land use along the Scheme was mixed parcels of commercial forestry plantation interspersed with more open areas of pasture and moor. In the south of the Scheme the landuse was primarily areas of lightly wooded rough pasture or open areas of rough pasture.
