Archaeology Notes

NH69SW 45 613 929.

A stone implement, as illustrated, which was found in a tumulus on Druimliadh, was exhibited to the members of the society in 1909, by Donald Mackenzie, Inland Revenue, Bonar Bridge. In the base part of the implement are two perforations meeting in the centre, and a hole about 1/8" in depth is sunk into the apex. The whole surface is polished, and on the square part are groups of scratches whose meaning is not clear. The purpose of the implement is unknown.

Proc Soc Antiq Scot 1909.

No further information was found during field investigation.
