NH 544 991 An archaeological desk-based assessment and walk-over survey, followed by a watching brief, were carried out between September and December 2006 in advance of construction of a new water main at Linsidemore, Sutherland. The walkover survey revealed a number of stone wall and building remains, some of which are not featured on current maps. These and their locations were noted. Selected sections of the water main construction were watched but no archaeologically significant features were affected.
Report to be lodged with Highland SMR and Library Service, and NMRS; archive will be deposited with RCAHMS.
