Activities

Field Visit (5 September 2019)

This partly grass-grown, cracked concrete floor is terraced into a SE-facing slope on the N side of the road (NG89SW 50) approaching the coastal battery. It is rectangular on plan and measures at least 11m from NE to SW by 4.8m transversely, but the concrete at its SW end is breaking up. The edges of the floor are rebated for timber sill-beams. There is likely to have been an entrance on the SW as this end of the building is approached by paths from two different directions.

Visited by HES, Survey and Recording (ATW, AKK), 5 September 2019.
