Activities

Field Visit (5 September 2019)

This badly cracked grass-grown concrete floor is situated in peaty ground 48m ENE of a light anti-aircraft emplacement on top of a knoll (NG89SW 22). It is rectangular on plan and measures 11.45m from NW to SE by 4.9m transversely. The edges of the floor are rebated for timber sill-beams. The path between it and the building to the NNW (NG89SW 4.21) indicates that there was a doorway at its NW end, while a threshold at the opposite end indicates the location of another entrance.

Visited by HES, Survey and Recording (ATW, AKK), 5 September 2019.
