Activities

Field Visit (5 September 2019)

This heather- and grass-grown concrete platform is terraced into the steep W-facing crag overlooking a car park (NG 81417 92062), 21 m NW of the concrete floor of a large building (NG89SW 4.15). It is rectangular on plan and measures 3.05m from NNW to SSE by 2.05m transversely and originally supported four brick pillars, 0.23m square and 0.3m high, sited close to each corner. Erosion is gradually undermining the platform.

Visited by HES, Survey and Recording (ATW, AKK), 5 September 2019.
