This machine gun post is situated on a NNE-facing slope 22m WSW of the W gun emplacement (NG89SW 4.0). It is oval on plan and measures 3.2m from N to S by 2.95m transversely within a heather- and grass-grown peaty bank 3m thick and up to 0.7m high. There is an entrance on the NNE from which a trench that once held a cable runs down the slope to the NNE to join another from the magazine (NG89SW 4.12).
