NG87NE 1 865 796.

There is a 'Pictish broch or round house' on Craig Bhan, on the north-east side of the river Ewe, half-way between Poolewe and Inversan, within two hundred yards of the road.

J H Dixon 1886.

Not located.

Visited by OS (J T Todd) 6 October 1964.

A hut circle, measuring 8m in diameter, with an entrance facing SE, is situated above the River Ewe. Mentioned by Dixon in his Guide to Gairloch and Loch Maree and described as a Broch.

Possible broch in Gairloch, Ross and Cromarty, which has not been located in modern times [1]. It was referred to as a “Pictish broch or roundhouse” in 1886 [2].
