A possible dun or hill-top enclosure was recorded by Martin Wildgoose during a pre-afforestation survey for Barabhaig WGS in February 2002. The site lies c150m NE of the dun NG60NE 5 (NG 6795 0983) and is situated on a very prominent rocky outcrop. Traces of ruinous walling exist around the summit of the outcrop, most prominently at the NE end, where a length survives up to 3 courses high and both inner and outer wall faces are visible. The width of this section of wall is 2m - 2.5m thick.
At the foot of the SE facing flank of the outcrop are two small stone built cells, possibly shieling huts. The first is situated at NG6812 0995 and measures 4m in overall diameter, with walls of stone slabs set on edge, and a possible smaller cell attached to its NE side. The second lies 30m to the SW, in boulder scree, and measures 2m in diameter. There are no obvious openings to either structure.
Information from Ishbel MacKinnon, August 2011.
