'A granite grain-rubber, a flat, oblong,slightly concave stone; with round-topped sandstone - rubber or bruiser;....found near Wick' were presented to the Museum of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland by

A H Rhind, on March 9th 1857. (Accession nos: BA 9-10)

Proc Soc Antiq Scot 1859.

No further information regarding these 'rubbers' were found during field investigation.
