ND35SE 103.05 35975 53600

A brick and concrete type 27 (anti-aircraft defence) pillbox is situated in a field 35m NW of Upper Ackergill farmsteading. The pillbox has grass growing on the roof and retains part of the mounting for a machine gun in the central pit.

This pillbox has possibly recently been demolished.
