Archaeology Notes

NC96NE 44 9528 6566.

A longhouse, 19m NW-SE by 5m across and two to twenty courses in height, which appears to be built on the foundation of an earlier structure. In juxtaposition with the longhouse is another structure, 11m by 4.5m with an internal division.

R J Mercer 1981.

The longhouse is as described; the second feature is evident as a low mound.

Visit by OS 7 September 1981.
