Assynt's Hidden Lives Project 2009

Condition Survey (May 2022 - July 2022)

NS 16369 78952 Following unauthorised felling within a scheduled area in Dunloskin Wood, Dunoon (SM 3894) a programme of works was devised to ensure the remaining woodland was felled and extracted in such a manner to minimise physical damage to the Scheduled Area and the monuments located within it (Canmore ID: 347360, 347607, 347608,

347610, 347636, 347635, 75346, 70431). The work was

carried out in May to July 2022.

In addition, the charcoal platforms located within the Scheduled Area were cleared of debris and brash so that they are visible, readily identifiable, and accessible by the public. The work was required by Historic Environment Scotland.
