An extensive system of head-dykes which runs roughly NE-SW from NB 455 568 to NB 524) is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Island of Lewis, Ross-shire 1853, sheet 3). It adjoins two other systems of head-dykes to the SW (NB34NE 39) and the NE (NB45NE 60).

Some lengths of head-dyke are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1973).
