Note

An extensive system of head-dykes which runs roughly E-W from NB 317 468 to NB 272 461 is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Island of Lewis, Ross-shire 1853, sheet 13). It is conjoined to another system of head-dykes to the W (NB24NE 51) and it may be associated with the townships of Bragar (NB24NE 8.00) and Arnol (NB34NW 2.00) to the N.

Some lengths of head-dyke are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1974).
