A township comprising six unroofed buildings, one partially roofed building, six roofed buildings, one of which is annotated Mill (HU37SW 7), three enclosures, two sheepfolds and a head-dyke is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Orkney & Shetland (Shetland) 1881, sheet xxiv). The head-dyke is conjoined to that of the township Enisfirth to the E (HU37SW 22).
Ten unroofed buildings, six enclosures and the fragmentary remains of the head-dyke are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1974).
