An engine house and military camp are situated NW of the Sullom Voe oil terminal, 400m S of Calback coast battery (HU37NE 10.00; HU 3863 7653).
The buildings are constructed of brick and concrete.

Several elements of the accommodation camp survive on rough ground NW of the oil terminal at Sullom Voe. A large brick and concrete engine room with steel beams to support the roof. Engine 'beds' are still in situ within. On the E side of the building are three low walls which once supported oil tanks and on the W side a low building whose purpose remains unclear. The entrance is the S gable end.
to the N are the remains of the camp including several concrete hut bases, one upstanding breeze block gable end with chimney and a rusted and corroded water tank with what may be the remains of the pump house to the immediate W. The water tank stands on a concrete plinth.
