This cairn has been completely destroyed. A plantie crub has taken its place.
RCAHMS 1946, visited 1931
A few stones embedded in the turf around the plantie crub on South Houllan may be a part of the cairn, but insufficient remains to assess size and shape. Some 30.0m to the S. there is a ruined enclosure formed of large stones. This is probably modern but several upright stones within may be the remains of an earlier structure.

Field Visit (14 July 1931)
Complete destruction has overtaken the cairn which was once to be seen on the top of a solitary hill that rises from the moor about 260yds W of No. 1423 [HU25NE 13]. A 'plantie-krub' now occupies its place.
