Copy of photograph of paper making machine (no.6), a double VEE tapered breast box of stainless steel and adjustable deckle head with flexible slice control of the flow of stock to the wire. The table rolls and underwire rolls are equipped with sealed ball bearings, as are the deckle pulleys. Three AQUAIR vacuum pumps, two LEITH WALK centrifugal pumps for back water and couch pit trimmings, together with a copper air receiver are installed at the back of the machine, from the JB&S Machine 161 catalogue, James Bertram and Son Ltd, Leith Walk, Edinburgh, circa 1953. The catalogue describes and illustrates some of the features of the No 161 machine 'recently installed at the well known Mill of Guard Bridge Paper Co Ltd, Fife , Scotland designed with the co-operation of the Mill Staff especially for the economical production of the highest quality papers...'
