Interior view of an ornate fireplace in No. 10 Buccleuch Place of c. 1780 with two Corinthian columns flanking the hearth both topped with a bird on a shell; the centre mantel panel is decorated with thistles and the two adjacent panels show a sea scene of shells and seaweeds.
This fireplace is now in the basement of 4 Saxe-Coburg Place. |
