Copy of photograph of paper making machine (no.6), tile lined stock chests each 13 feet 10 inches in diameter by 9 feet 3 inches deep and fitted with BELL's AGITATORS motor driven through enclosed worm gearing. Chests support rotary drum Saveall which filters excess whitewater and fibre discharged straight into chests eliminating firbre loss and reduces volume of water in circulation, from the JB&S Machine 161 catalogue, James Bertram and Son Ltd, Leith Walk, Edinburgh, circa 1953. The catalogue describes and illustrates some of the features of the No 161 machine 'recently installed at the well known Mill of Guard Bridge Paper Co Ltd, Fife , Scotland designed with the co-operation of the Mill Staff especially for the economical production of the highest quality papers...'

These units are manufactured by JBS under licence from ED JONES and Sons, Co., Pittsfield, USA and Drum Strainers made by JBS allowed the final screening of the stock to ensure good wire formation. The drums are 3 feet in diameter, from the JB&S Machine 161 catalogue, James Bertram and Son Ltd, Leith Walk, Edinburgh, circa 1953.
