Stone [NAT]

OS 1:10,000 map, 1996.

This rough block of rose quartz is situated in a cultivated field on a NNE-facing slope 400m SE of Drimmies farmsteading (NJ72SW 57). It measures 1.1m in breadth by 0.8m in thickness, and rises to a pointed top at a height of 1.7m. The stone was probably erected in the late 19th century as a cattle rubbing stone.

Visited by RCAHMS (JRS, IF), 19 March 1996.
