This range of buildings incorporating Offices, Laboratories and Library incorporating what was known as Nobel House. These buildings date from the formation of ICI in 1926 and were built to house ICI's research centre, comprising Research Development Headquarters and the office of the Research Manager and associated administrative offices, laboratories and the library.
Not to be confused with the late 19th century Manager's House which was also known as Nobel House (now demolished).
