(NS 5315 5017) There are traces of a cairn on the top of Ballagioch (now Ballageich Hill).

H Thomson 1903.

This marker cairn, which is situated on the summit of Ballageich Hill, comprises a pile of stones that stands no more than 0.5m in height, and it probably marks the position of the OS triangulation station that is depicted here on the 1st edition of the 6-inch map (Renfrewshire 1858-63, sheet XV). The function of a small concrete block, its upper surface set flush with the ground next to the cairn, is not known.

Visited by RCAHMS (AGCH, JH) 18 July 2007.
