NO12SW 29 c. 11 21.

Hospitals, Perth....St Mary Magdalene, persistently described as a nunnery, but clearly designated in records as a hospital of which the master had payments made to him from 1327. On November 24th, 1425, it is described as a poor's hospital, wont be governed by secular laymen.

D E Easson 1957.

Hospital of St Mary Magdalene.... stood about a mile south from Perth, on the west side of the present Edinburgh Road, and probably near the present homestead of the Magdalene's Farm, past which went the old road from Edinburgh. The date of its foundation, and the name of its founder are unknown. James I gifted it to the Carthusian Monastry (NO12SW 14) who suppressed it.

R S Fittes 1885.
