NJ93NW 24 c. 90 35.

'Flint arrows and other weapons of the olden time' and 'remains of Picts' Houses whose fireplaces were easily distinguishable by the arrangement of stones and by the charred remains which were abundant about them', formerly occurred in a field in the vicinity of NJ93NW 2 which was brought into cultivation in the early part of the 19th century.

The flints were so numerous that local people gathered handfuls each time the field was ploughed.

J Spence 1895.
