A 'Fish and Curling Pond' is depcietd on the 1st edition of the 6-inch map (Linlithgowshire, 1856, sheet2), about 150m W of Parkhead.

The pond with a sluice is still depicted on the current OS 1:2500 scale digital map for the area.
