Coastal Batteries of Scotland

This rocket projector platform, which measures 2.15m square and 0.15m high, is situated on a heather- and grass-grown NNE-facing terrace about 27m E of the W gun emplacement (NG89SW 4.0). Twelve bolts within a circular metal plate originally outlined the holdfast, while a small iron pipe at its centre sheathed the ignition cable. A trench from which a cable has been robbed approaches it from the SW, before continuing on down the slope towards the W searchlight (NG89SW 4.03).
