The redundant Ordnance Survey triangulation pillar on the summit of North Berwick Law is constructed of concrete and set on solid rock. The white-painted pillar has facetted corners and measures 0.6m square at the base tapering to 0.36m square at a height of 1.23m. The flat top still retains its brass base-plate and instrument securing rings, and on the W side there is a flush-bracket with the serial number ‘S3063’.
